About discussions
A discussion is a conversation with an AI agent that can read your team's documents. You ask a question in the Discussions tab, the agent answers, and you carry on from there. Each discussion is a thread of its own, kept for as long as you want it.
Where to find it
Discussions appears as a tab of its own where it is enabled for your team.
The agent reads your team's documents
The agent does not answer from general knowledge alone. It can consult the documents your team holds in Tiro Pro.
You choose what it looks at
You scope a discussion by attaching subjects to it: the documents the agent uses as its starting point. Each discussion keeps its own attachments, so you can run one narrowed to a single contract and another spanning every document in a collection. You can explicitly ask about another document without changing those attachments.
Context from the page you are using
When you send from Quick Chat, the agent receives a snapshot of the supported page and selected items. This helps it understand references such as “this workflow”. Sending from the Discussions tab uses that discussion's context instead. Moving to another page does not change a message already sent or silently attach documents to the discussion.
The agent can look up saved documents, workflow definitions and results, templates, and other supported records you can access. It cannot see unsaved form values or edits. Its reads may reflect changes saved after you sent the message; it does not watch your browser continuously. If “this document” could mean either the open document or an attached subject, it should ask which you mean.
The agent can draft changes to a Word document
Ask for a change to an attached Word document and the agent drafts it as tracked changes, shown in the Drafts panel beside the thread as it works. Where you want the reason recorded, it attaches a Word comment to the edit. The draft is private to the discussion and changes nothing in your library until you choose to save it as the document's newest version. The agent can also write a new Word document from scratch: it appears in the same panel once rendered, joins your library straight away, and takes further changes as a draft in the same way.
The agent can run saved workflows
Ask the agent to find and run one of your team's saved dynamic workflows or extraction schemas. It proposes which documents to use and whether to handle them together or separately, then starts the work in the background. Your attached subjects are the starting point, not a limit: you can choose only some of them or name other documents in your team's library without changing the discussion's subjects.
The run and its results appear in Activity and are visible to the team, even though the discussion itself remains private to you. The agent can also create an ordinary dynamic workflow for you, or update one you own, before running it.
The agent remembers the conversation
Within a discussion the agent carries the earlier turns forward. You can refer back to a document you named or a point you made several messages ago without repeating yourself. Each discussion is separate: a new one starts with no memory of the others.
Your discussions are your own
A discussion belongs to the person who started it, in the team it was started in. Other people on your team do not see it, and it does not follow you when you switch to another team.
The reply arrives as it is written
The answer appears a piece at a time rather than landing complete, so you can start reading before the agent has finished.
An answer finishes even if you leave
Closing the tab or moving to another discussion mid-answer does not abandon the reply. The agent carries it through to the end, and it is waiting in the discussion when you come back.
